A source-code fix is required for the latter. Any
volunteers?
For the former, tell C-Kermit 6.0 to:
SET REPEAT COUNTS OFF
Yes, I know it's not documented. There's no reason
why anybody would want to do this except to cope with
a buggy Kermit program on the opposite end.
